Emergency Shelter

We shelter homeless families with children. To become a guest at Night of Peace, contact the Baltimore County Department of Social Services at 410-853-3000. BCDSS will process your information and send us a referral. As required by County regulations, all shelter guests can stay for up to 90 days. Night of Peace is available to all current guests from 4 p.m. to 8 a.m. We are only open all day during inclement weather conditions.

My family were guests at Night of Peace for a few months due to hardships and financial struggles. The caring staff members helped us to find the needed services that led us to self-sufficiency and a new home.
— Tiffany M.

Case management

When we have received a referral and you have become a guest at Night of Peace, our social worker will assist you through the process of becoming self-sufficient again. This service includes creating your own transitional plan establishing your goals, providing referrals to housing and social services programs, following up with appointments, and other services as needed.
